China implemented 46 nuclear tests from 1964 to 1996 at the test site
constructed in Lop Nur, Uyghur District. The author has applied the sciences
of nuclear radiation protection to the assessment of the nuclear disasters
in Uyghur, which is affected by the most opaque Chinese nuclear tests in
the world. The health effects on people and nuclear hazards in Uyghur are
continuing also now in the 21st century. This book which was originally
published in Japanese has been translated into English and the Uyghur language.
Rebia Kadeer president of the World Uyghur Congress has written an introduction
criticizing the Chinese government for the dreadful nuclear catastrophe
in East Turkestan. |
